If you’re looking for an easy way to decorate for Christmas, then here it is!
Today at school we had the task to decorate the classroom with the 5. Klasse (10-11 year olds). Obviously when you have a fixed amount of time and lots of kids it’s got to be simple, easy and effective. So that’s how I came up with this idea. I’ll admit I’m not original in thinking of this as a craft, after thinking about it I scoured pinterest for ideas and found that lots of other people have done very similar things. But anyway, I loved this craft so I thought I’d share it with you today.
It’s really easy, and all you need is;
- Coloured paper (I used dark red, bright red and forest green)
And then the steps
- Draw several (I used 6) identical christmas trees on paper. You can either use a stencil or cut through the sheets at the same time – all that matters is that they’re exactly the same!
- Fold the paper vertically down the centre and staple it 2 or 3 times along the crease.
- Finally, fan all the bits of paper out so that it takes shape
Really easy, right? We hung them up using paperclips and string, but they also look cute stood around a room. If you give them a try, I’d love to see a picture. I’ve seen people make them with book pages or patterned paper too if you want some more inspiration!
